Sometimes I wonder if I have time to do everything.

I want to do everything but when I let something go these days

it is more of a relief than grief.

But my blog?????

No I don't want to go but I am hardly ever here and I am

not able to visit others much either.

New career, New priorities have kept me away from the computer

except for work.

My new partner may want to continue the blog and

I have seen that done before. That would be fun because I could visit from time to time but then the blog becomes hers

and very different.

Any ideas?

Love to everyone I am missing. I know I am missing so much

love and beauty. I truly care about each of you

and this is breaking my heart!

New Designs

It has been awhile but I am still here.

Focusing on my new job, and getting in better shape. I have really not addressed that in my life for a long time and I know now that this is something I have to do! So those two things are my top priority for now. But........

I will still be working on the next Glitterfest but with a new partner. She is a stay at home mom who is really talented and wanted something she could do at home. So between the two of us we should be able to keep the Fleurs coming. Here are some of our new designs.......

Kara is our Lovely model here.

She is such a special person and so sweet.

She was helping me with the flowers but now is going

to go away to college and I will miss her!

Keishia who is my new partner and I will be working on more designs and we will be loading up the Etsy store soon.

I did these magnets and put them in a weird spot so they

did not sell well. (that is what I am telling myself)

I will now put them in

my Etsy shop!

I so wish I would have had more time to take pictures as

it was such a wonderful day and meeting all

the other artists was SO much fun!

Glitter Love

Well the glitter has settled and I am still recovering from the

wonderful time I had with all of you who

attended or were a part of Glitterfest 2010 Spring!

Wow what a fun filled, whirlwind of a day. I met so many really nice people and

I wish I would have had more time to shop and chat because

I really enjoyed looking at all the gorgeous wares that were brought in by all

these talented artists.

New Projects

I love this project!

I had my friends Patti and Sharon over a couple of

weeks ago because we decided to make

time whenever we could to get some fun projects created.

It just gives you a little kick in the butt to get

something you have wanted to do done!

I saw this first in the Pottery Barn catalog.

It looked a little different than this but I really liked it.

It never occurred to me that I could make it

until I saw someone on another blog had made one.

I knew the girls would love it as much as I did and boy was

I right! We had so much fun making them and they

all turned out completely different.

Of course I did not have my camera that day I have misplaced

it for more than a month! I just found it and am thrilled to

show you this. It is easy to make and I will be making more!

I also embellished this cute little clock.

I collect clocks and I can not seem to resist them when I

come upon them either on e-bay or at

a Flea. The one in the back I just got at Remnants of the past!

This little clock was not all that exciting until I added these

favorite, tiny, vintage flowers.

The leaves are from an old project that I ripped apart and the

little bauble on top was from a stem of Christmas berries.

I was so happy with the way it came out I may

make more for Glitterfest!

Then lastly I wanted to use this great glass vessel that I found at

Home Goods. I am not used to having a tropical garden and

we don't have much out there to go and pick to bring

inside. When I was living in my little cottage flowers were

Plentiful and I had fresh ones to choose from each and every day!

So I decided to use some succulents, Sea Shells and a cute

little fish to create a scene.

What do you think?

I just did the flowers for a friends daughters wedding and will be sharing pictures in the future. The Bride wore one of my

Organza flowers

in her hair and I was so happy with the way it turned out.

I will be making more soon!

Sorry it has been so long since I have been here, the camera

being gone really did not help! Then the wedding, work,

you all know because you all do it too!

Looking Back

Taking a look back

I bought this house in 2005

It was a terrible mess and

I remember thinking

What have I done!!!!!

After gutting the kitchen,

refinishing the floors,

painting every surface

I moved in two months later to live

happily ever after......

These pictures were taken a couple of

weeks before I moved out. I was selling most all of what is pictured here.

I had to downsize because I was renting out my darling cottage

and moving in with my sister and her family.

I made the decision to do this after almost two years of being unemployed.

I did not want to go and I really did not want to give up all of my "things"

I thought my heart would be broken and that everything

would be hard and painful.

I have not regretted it ..........ever!

Yes I loved my little cottage and all of my STUFF

and I thought I would live out the end of my days there.

God had other plans for me and he has blessed me beyond measure.

It was such a good move for me and one that never would

have happened if not for the downturn

in the economy.

What I thought would destroy me and my financial future did not.

I now live in a beautiful home, very close to the beach, with family.

This has been really good for me and living with Kerri, Lowell, Nick,

and Michael (my son) helps me to be more giving and

to think of others more.

Lots of people ask me if it is hard to share space with

family and it really hasn't been in our case. It is not perfect.

But it is really close to being perfect.

My little cottage was once featured on the cover of Romantic Homes.

I thought that was the best thing that ever happened to me,

that I would live there forever and continue to

collect all the little treasures that I loved. God has other plans for me,

I hope they are all as good as this plan was,

but if not I hope I choose to go where he leads..............

Forget-Me-Not

Forget-Me-Not Flowers.

They are so cute and

colorful.

I have quite a collection of the little

bunches

and two hats just

covered in them.

When I see them

all I can think about is spring.

I put them everywhere

and I have been decorating with them.

I will show you a cute project

that I am working on

as soon as I am finished with it.

They just make me so

happy!!!!!

I was able to spend yesterday with one of my two new business partners.

She will be helping me make my fleurs

since the new job is keeping me too busy to work on them as much as I need to.

I could have hired people to just make them but

I wanted to get other women involved in being able to make money creating.

Lydia and Kara will both bring so much to Fille de Fleur.

I am really excited!

As you may of noticed I have a new look. Really plain and simple and I just LOVE it!

If I want to add more later I can. I loved working with

Karen Valentine of Valentine Designs.

She really listens and she is so patient and kind. You should go visit her

and see if she can do something for you too.

but this new career thing is killing me!

So much to learn and so little time for much else.

My New Bed!!!!

Is this not spectacular?

I do so wish this was my new bed!

However I must tell you that this belongs to all of us who

want to visit the Getty Museum in Los Angeles.

Wow what a wonderful day I had with these characters...........

I don't know about you but when I take the time out to do something like this I always wonder

why I don't do it more often. I love spending time with my family and

it is really fun to do something like this together.

If you live in the area you must try to go. And if you visit us here in Southern California

make sure you stop in.

The cost is 15 dollars per car! That is it!

San Diego/Fallbrook Trip

When I went to San Diego last week for my test I stayed at a boutique hotel

Called the Bristol.

I really loved the hotel it was right in the heart of downtown and only

two blocks from the place where I took the test but

even better, Two blocks in the other direction is Horton Plaza

and the Gas Lamp district.

Since I was only there for one night and was a little preoccupied

I did not get to see too much, but it is a happening place.

I will go back when I can enjoy it.

When I left San Diego I stopped by Oceanside and picked up my daughter Mandi

and we headed out to Fallbrook for an overnight stay with my

Aunt Toni who lives in a beautiful home that she has

been decorating.........

hopefully we can take some pictures next time to share with you.

She has some really great stuff!

She took us to some really wonderful places like the Myrtle Creek Nursery which is

located at 2940 Reche Rd in Fallbrook. Phone #760-728-5340.

Mandi and Toni are posing for me in front of one of the many

cute areas they have displayed so perfectly.

Can you believe these are geraniums? I happen to love geraniums but did not

It is over,

the test is taken,

and I passed!

I can not tell you enough how happy I am that it is over.

I have been out of school for over 30 years and

to be quite honest I was not the best

student.

So thanks for all of your good wishes and prayers.

My new life will begin and I will be working again.

How will this affect my business?

My blog?

I don't quite know the answers to all of that.

Making my flowers is very time consuming but I do love it.

Time will tell.

I will be back tomorrow with some pictures I took while in Fallbrook and Temecula.

I had such a good time with my Daughter and my Aunt Toni.

New Fleurs and A MESS!

I have added some new Fleurs to my shop and I wanted to share them with you.

I got some new molds and was happily creating away

until....

I realized I MUST stop and study for my

Real Estate test. It is less than two

weeks away and I have to Pass!

(say a prayer for me if you remember)

I also wanted to post this before I started

to study because who knows when I will be back!

I love these new ruffle fleurs.

They have inspired me to come up with some new ideas for Home Decor.

This little jewelry chest will look so cute with these

attached and finished with some cute centers.

As an embellishment on baskets.

Or sewn on pillows?

They are also really cute on headbands.

I have made a few to get ready for Glitterfest.

Anyway now I must put this all away

which is hard When you are on a roll

and hit the books!

Oh yes and I promised you a mess............

The outside of the house which is my bedroom wall,

is now gone and I am sleeping in the living room like the

Buckett family In Willy Wonka.

On top of that this is what the inside of my bedroom looks like now....

is taken from the exact same place

as the one of my bed and side table.

Can you believe it?

It is all going to be fixed in a week or two

and then I will be getting down to

business deciding on the finishes.

I have been considering velvet.

On another note those of you who stop by and visit know that we moved several months ago

and I have been redecorating the house and my bedroom.

Well with all the rain my room which is the front

of the house got some kind of a leak and one of my walls and carpet are going to be

replaced. Major redesign is now going to happen!

I am kind of happy because the room was not exactly the way I wanted it.........

So this is a good excuse change it.

I will post about it when it is done.

The Modonna Inn

This past weekend I took a trip with my sister and sister-in-Law

up to Cambria to see my mom.

On the way home we stopped for a bathroom break at the Madonna inn.

WOW!

I had never been there before and was delighted with the experience.

We did not eat there but the coffee shop was so

old fashioned that I felt I was back in time.

This is a picture of a cake that was one of many

really beautiful cakes

in their bakery.

I had to take a picture of the carpet!

It is even more pink in person.

New Flowers And a Giveaway!

There is a new blog in town!

The Glitterfest Gazette.

It is dedicated to a biannual

event that is hosted by

Diane White and Sheryl Simpson of the fantastic

Whimzy shop which is located in Old Towne Tustin.

They started Glitterfest so that Artists could

show and sell their creations, and as a participant

I can tell you it is a blast!

I met so many fantastic people.

The blog features artist interviews and this

time it is Christie Repasy.

I love her paintings. They are of flowers so what is not to love?

There will also be information and pictures posted before and after each

event so add this blog to your must reads!

The next Glitterfest is May 22nd so mark your calendars

So Amazing

God is so amazing!
This was really the most beautiful sunset I have
ever seen. In person it was so much more vivid.
The land you see beyond the palms
is Catalina Island.
We rarely get such a clear view.

These were taken on January 6th.
I wish sometimes I had a better camera
but if I did I probably would not be able to work it!
My friends Dave and Lora were with me.
We decided to do some after Christmas shopping at
Fashion Island in Newport Beach.
This was the best thing we got that day far and away!

Well we did get some amazing cheesecake too!
Have you ever had carrot cake cheesecake?
Don't try it.....you may become addicted.

Sharon's House

I met Sharon a couple of years ago when my home
was featured on a home tour.

She was so sweet and said she loved my home and wanted to be
my new best friend. Well be careful what you wish for!
We love a lot of the same things and have had fun shopping
and creating together.
She recently wanted me to help her rearrange her living room.

We had so much fun and it is easy to make her home look great
with all of her wonderful treasures.
When I downsized she bought a lot of stuff from my house and
it was really great to see it again.
As with most redesign jobs there are a few things to add. The empty white urn
on the fireplace will be beautiful when she adds a fern.

The main goal was to make it less country, cutesy, cluttered, and do
more of a comfortable farmhouse feel. I think we achieved that,
don't you?
It is really my passion to do redesign work. I wish it was my main job.
But for now I do it part time and love every minute of it!

What a wonderful surprise to get all of these other treasures too!
I just love everything,
the egg soaps, Gorgeous glass button, tiny flower charm on the
beautiful ribbon, lace, and of course she sent
me some wonderful velvet fleurs!

I loved it all!

So very special and really beautiful.

Bedroom Redo

I have been promising these for some time now but I kept wanting to retake
the images because I did not like how they turned out.
I may never get to that so I will just share.
The above picture is my favorite and it is right on the wall that you enter
when you come into the room. You can use this image if you Want to!

I love this chair because of the detail and because I got it for 15.00 and the fabric at a different time for 2.00!

The Picture is of my beloved grandmother who passed away and my children when
they were little. I love this and it is always close by me. I love
these old carpenter rulers turned crowns.

See the little ballet photo? I got it on E-bay and was thrilled to death
It is so sweet.
I also love this chalkware lamp. I made the shade from vintage tulle.

I just love old tin and I just found this lunch box at a garage sale. So cute
I need to decide what to keep in it.

You Gotta love Dogs!

This Desk/Vanity was purchased at the Veterans Flea Market in Long Beach
For 25.00! I love the wooden top.

My Sister painted this wonderful piece for me and I just love it! The bench underneath
holds magazines that I need to take the time to read!

I am happy with this white shirred spread I got at Ikea for 19.00. It stretches
to fit a queen bed.

I found the headboard on Craigs list for 40.00 dollars and was fully intending
to recover it. Once I put it unter the window I could see that the
color looked really good with the blinds so
I found a sheer curtain with beading on it that I stapled over it to soften
it and I am so pleased with the way it turned out.

Christmas at Birds of a Feather

This is the fisrt thing you see when you enter! It really gets you into the holiday mood.

Why do I love tiny things sooooooo Much?
I just do!

These are Melissa Tereks. So adorable.

You can not tell from the picture but these are huge and are
sparkling in the window.
I stood here for a long time soaking it all in.

And here are my fleurs right on the front desk! How kind of her.
They have been doing well we are on the second order!

The Doggy tree.........That is all anyone really needs.

Cambria Crown Class

Well I found the camera cord and here finally are the pictures of our Cambria crown class!
We had a wonderful time meeting all the great artists and no surprise to us every crown was different.

This was so much fun! We have a few more kits left and we can have a crown class here

Crown Class

This Thursday my sister Kerri and I leave for Cambria California to teach this class.
We will also be making a couple of cute ornaments out of maps and old paper.
I will bring back pictures.

The week after we get back we are moving! Yes we did this just seven months ago but this time we are SO happy. The house we are moving to is really wonderful
and just a hop skip and a jump to the sand!
Since the home is so different I will be changing up the decor.
Stay tuned for some after pictures. Here are a few befores.

We are so thankful for our new home. There is plenty of room for our whole family
to come for Thanksgiving.
Also we will have a "before" House warming party. I will shoot some pictures once the
furniture is in. Then we will have a ways to go to get the place shaped up.
I guess I will have to start shopping again. Yea!

The Montage

There is a place here in Southern California that is what I think of as heaven here on earth.
How could anything be more beautiful?
In October Laguna Beach has some of the most beautiful sunsets around.
I spent most of this month house sitting in Laguna for my Dad and Step mom, they asked me
to take care of this little bundle of joy....
Holly.
She is Georgie's cousin.
She is so adorable and her daily walk is at the
Montage Hotel and resort.
I am soooooo lucky!

The weather was nearly perfect and the views are spectacular.

The coastline veiws are amazing.

These are custom homes built alongside the hotel and if you purchase one you get all the
amenities that the hotel guests do. Even Room service!

They water all their plants with brown water. Very conservasionistic.
Spell check says I just made up a word.

When you walk along these wonderful paths above the sand you can use
clean and beautiful bathrooms. They are located
near this fish mural.
(hey this can be important after lots of coffee!)

Alas Georgie did not get to go. There are too many people there and he misbehaves.
He sat home and tried on some of my felted flower clips but
it did not help he was still grumpy.

If you are ever in So Cal you must stop by and see this gorgeous place.
Take some food and have a picnic. You will never forget it.

I have been MIA once again. Getting ready for Glitterfest, going back to work,
and starting real estate school is taking time away from
me getting to write on my blog.

Making the decision to go back to school and to go back to a real career will
impact the time that I can devote to Fille De Fleur.
I don't know where my little business will end up but it has been successful
and rewarding. I love to create one of a kind pieces and when
I get a new order it is thrilling!
I hope to be able to continue as stress relief.

Will I continue this blog and continue the relationships I have started?
I certainly hope so!

The comments that I receive have been wonderful,
and I love visiting all of you.

Each person I visit has such great perspective, Ideas, visual impact, and I am able to
see life from other points of view. This really opens up
my world and connecting with others is
what it is all about!

Sprucing up

On Labor day I went to Macy's with about a million other people. I was
looking for some clothes to add to my working
wardrobe now that I will be going back to work. But I entered the store
by going through the bedding department and was able to find a new
duvet and some shams that were SO on sale! The duvet was originally $175.00
marked down to $40.00 and the euro shams were marked down to $18.00 from $68.00.
I like the pattern Wildflowers.
It is very different from what I usually pick but it is so soft
and it looks really fresh.
Of course all of this meant that I needed to refresh the room. I had so much fun
doing it and I thought I would share............

I will be getting a feather insert which will make it much more luxurious
I will also purchase a dark fitted sheet to contrast the underside of the duvet.
I also need an
accent pillow so to give you an idea of what I will be looking for
I put a tray there that is close to the
size and shape I would like.

So then I wanted to fix the dresser that has never been the way I wanted it to be....

I was able to turn the mirror the other way which is good for me to be able to see
when I put my jewelry on.

The sweet little bird dish that my sister Kerri gave me used to be used
for soap in the bathroom
but is now where I keep things that I take off after a long day
then at the end of the week I return everything back to the drawer.

As always Georgie was with me every step of the way and nothing was moved
without his approval..............After all it is his room too!

Felting!

OK so I have been busy and have not been here..... we all take breaks sometimes right?
This is what I have been up to..............

I went to buy some Pom Poms for the headbands I am making for a local clothing shop
and was not pleased with what was out there,
so I wondered, how hard could it be to make my own?

And since am making my molded flowers out of felt right now
I want felted balls.

I check out my favorite shop for classes but they don't seem to have any that teach the fine art of ball making! Plus I wanted to make them NOW.

Sooooooo $100.00 dollars later
I am teaching myself how to make all sorts of felted things, and I am getting excited.
It is so fun! It is so rewarding! It is so expensive!

The expense is partly due to the fact that
I have had some "mishaps"
and that I am going crazy with ideas and trying out different techniques
in a flurry of felting madness.

What you see above is some of what I have been up to and there is much more
in various stages littering my studio and the dining room table too!
I kind of spilled out all over the place in my frenzy.

I am hoping to have a model soon
(My niece has generously offered since I always said she should be a model.)
and I think the pictures will be much better than this last one of a headband on a cantaloupe!

New Crown

My Sister and I have been invited to teach a Crown class in Cambria
on the first Saturday in November.
It is sponsored by the Calligraphy Association.
The crown can be personalized by the calligraphers or we can provide the paper
that is shown.

We will also be making three paper winter ornaments. I will post pictures of these
as soon as we figure out what they are going to be!
We kind of know that one will be a bird but the rest are up in the air.
It is hard to think winter right now.

If you are interested let me know and we can get more information to you.
It will be fun!

Santa Monica Flea Market

This is Buttercup.
We met her at the Santa Monica Flea Market a couple of weeks ago
when we went looking for vintage frames for
my daughters glasses.
What a cutie!

This dye display was in almost perfect condition.
We were so amazed to see one like this.

I did not need this but boy did I want it!
My love of cubbies and drawers is legendary.
I just missed out on small green metal drawers this past weekend
When out at tag sales.
So sad.

I loved these quilts. The colors are wonderful.

AWWWWWWW!

I managed to find a small pink dresser that needs a little TLC for my studio. Other than
That we got two cute vintage frames to make into glasses for Mandi.
I do have some self control.

On another note Bonnie from Birds of a Feather featured my flowers on her blog! How sweet of her.

Studio Update

Well this little lady was not ready when I posted my studio for the party.
That always happens to me when I do a party.
I leave something
out because I have forgotten it or can not get it together in time.

Do you like the large flower at her waist? It is my newest creation
inspired by Dustjacket attic. She had a picture of a Lacroix fashion show you must see over
at her blog.

So I am leaving for a week long camping trip with our church.
My daughter Mandy is coming with me
She is 24 and is going with me because I really wanted her to, how sweet is she?

and .............................we are staying in a trailer!
No tent for me this year!
YEA!

So I will be back to write to all of you who left me comments from the party
I have not gotten to that because I was trying to see
all the other great studios!

Today is Where Bloggers Create!

Here it is! See yesterday's post for the before pictures. I think this shows that you can take any little corner of your world and make some space to create.
Before I did this I worked at the dining room table.

Not only are there drawers that hold all of my "stuff" I am surrounded by
all of my favorite things that inspire and delight me.

The wonderful new piece above the buffet is by my talented sister Kerri Judd.
I am so fortunate to be surrounded by her talent
each and every day!

I love little drawers. These hold all the different centers I use for
my vintage velvet flowers.

This divided drawer in the buffet is perfect for all my molded blanks before
they are made into real flowers.

I love the large trug that I keep my velvet in, it used to hold wine until
Karen spurred me on to do this challenge! Thanks Karen!

I need to get a small table to hold this paper holder.
I will have fun looking for it.

I love old houses but right now we live in a newer space. These recessed shelves are wonderful
but we don't like the window. I gives off so much light that it gets in our eyes in the morning.
We taped up dictionary paper and problem is solved!

This chalk ware lamp is one of my very favorite things.
I made the lampshade from vintage
tulle.

When I sit at my table this is what I get to look at.
Georgie is my beloved Malti-poo.
He likes to lounge right near me.

All of the black drawers hold velvet molded flowers.
All of the boxes hold supplies and goodies
with which to create.

I found this basket at a tag sale in Cambria and thought it would be
great for all of my supplies. I like the old vintage flowers around me while I
create.

This is an old plateau that I also got at the tag sale. The gal said the mirror was
broken so she added the linen. What a great way to display my
Fleurs!

When I began blogging I had no idea that I would be so inspired and encouraged to have fun by being a part of the events and parties that I had read about
in the past.

It always seemed so fun and exciting to become part of "Pink Saturdays," "White Wednesday's" etc. but I never did. Well I guess I needed a push to get this done so here I am getting inspired and excited as I prepare
for Where bloggers create.
These pictures are of a small nook in our family room that was unused and seemed
too small for anything let alone a studio space.

Saltwater Shellabration

Last Saturday was a wonderful home tour and
shell class with Judy Mackey.
We were treated to
a home tour, lunch, and a class on making
a shell pin.

Judy is very talented and so gracious to open her home and share
her artistry with us. I took many pictures to share with you
so enjoy!

Judy made this book cover that holds pictures of her art.

My favorite vignette, these vintage lamps were decorated with shells
and then topped off with darling shades!

Can you even imagine? The time and creativity!

Her home is full yet calm and relaxing. Her placement of her artwork is stunning!

Birds of a Feather

One of my top favorite shops anywhere is Bonnie Crawford's Birds of a Feather. www/2birdsofafeather.com.
We always go there when we are in Cambria. Above is a picture of her back door. My front door picture did not come out but you know what they say about back door friends!

We had such a great time poking through all of her drawers. That is one
of my favorite things to do there. She has drawers, cigar boxes, and trays that
you can open and rifle through! How fun is that? A treasure hunt in every box.

We found several gems that had to come home with us and She placed an order for my flower pins! I am working on them now and will take a picture of them to share with you before I send them off.

This is a vintage millinery flower pin. Love it! I purchased one of Bonnie's
hand painted seed packets. She does them herself,
very talented lady. Are they gorgeous or what?

Beautiful beaded flowers! These are vintage but I will be taking a class in the future
from Arlene Baker to learn how to make them. I just love
Flowers!
(have I said that yet?)

We were there on the weekend of the fourth so she had some really great displays showing our country in all of its finest colors.

I bought one of these felt bags. I wanted something that was small and would carry my phone, wallet, lipstick, and keys. When you have a small bag like this your hands are free for shopping and you don't get an aching back or shoulder!
This bag
fit the bill in a wonderful way.
Handcrafted and sewn by a wonderful artist Cindy Farris.
It is made using felt, is fully lined and comes with a soldered charm! Of course
there are birds and nests hand-stitched on them.

These insects are incredible!

and her birds are really wonderful!

I thought these black and white ribbons were fantastic.

As Always Bonnie has beautiful and interesting wares to enjoy and take home to add to our collections. Thank you Bonnie for being there! We will be back.

Paris to the Moon Sale

What a fun day! I was able to meet lots of new friends and sold lots of what I had in these pictures of my space. I was kind of busy and distracted so my pictures are not the best but I wanted to share............

We decided to stay open in the back shop until Tuesday night with some of the leftovers and Darren has lots of goodies from the store that he says are 75% to 100% off! 100%? Yes that is right so if you are in the area come on down!

I had to share my daughters darling key chains. She is having so much fun making these. We sold several that day and there are a few more for sale in the shop. I think they are so cute! I have an order in for an ear of corn! My fave!

These pillows are gorgeous don't you think? Bianca and her daughter were busy the entire day. They were located by the puppy adoption gals and that area was really popular. Of course I wanted and should have taken more photos and I promise to do better in the future.

I also wanted to thank Lidy from French Garden House and Dawn from The Feathered Nest for the very nice welcome they gave me on their blogs. So many of their wonderful friends have written to me and I am so grateful for the support I have been given. Thanks Girls!

On Fathers day last Sunday my step Aunt Kathy brought a bag of goodies! It was full of treasures that she wanted to show us from her Mother. I took lots of pictures to share since we do not see these things every day. Take a look................

Serendipity

As I was telling you three posts ago I would share more of what we did this past weekend. After the barn sale La Rustique Maison we went to downtown Temecula to one of my favorite shops called Serendipity. I always find something here! I love it because besides all the goodies on the inside the garden section is fabulous. They really do a great job...................

I love these they are vines and they bloom here in California for many months. They come in several colors but I am partial to pink.

Petunias are not my favorite flower but I thought these were so pretty. They were of course even better in person............

These forget-me-not's are the sweetest things to me
I have a little collection of them and they are one of the few things
that really make my heart race when I see them.
Unfortunately for me these were display only so better luck next time right?

I also loved this little bird atop the crown. He looks so content. Well I am done working on this for today. Thanks for your patience and understanding as I figure this blog thing out. Busy Weekend

Well I am back after a wonderfully busy weekend. I took lots of pictures to share with you and since it was so busy I am going to share Saturday now and Sunday later............

My best friend since junior high is Lora. She and I have now been friends for 38 Years! That is a long time. We have never had a real fight which is amazing and over the years we have had many adventures that we laugh about to this day. I hope that everyone has a friend like Lora in their life.

So anyway when she asked me to go out to her folks house to take her dad to breakfast for fathers day I was up for it......then she said we could go to the barn sale La Maison Rustic too I was even more up for it!

Lora's Parents live on a beautiful ranch in the French Valley near Lake Skinner. They own race horses that they take very good care of each day which is lots of work when you are supposed to be retired! I got some pictures of their newest babies that are under a year old. So cute.

Then we went out to the Barn sale. Lots of new stuff since I had been there last. Linda lamaisonrustuic.typepad.com does such a great job with display. I am always inspired and come home to change up something in my home to reflect what I have seen.

I got to meet Deb from Breathing beside us and she is really nice. I told her I have been reading her blog for a while now and feel like I know her, she is just as real and nice in person as she is in blogland. Her bags and t-shirts are really great and so well done. She uses only the best materials and it really shows. Silk velvet on the inside of the bags is just yummy! I am going to put her in my friends and favorites when I can figure out how to do that so you can find her wonderful blog.

I also met Marie Vollaire. Great name! Lora gave me some wonderful pillows that Marie made for Christmas. She does upholstery too. She did a chair for Lora that is a real work of art. What a talented woman who is as nice as can be. I love her work. See her pillows and a chair at the top of this page.

Well as you can see I have not mastered the picture with text feature on the blog. I will work on that when my friend Karen gets back from vacation, Till then I will add another posting with pictures only of the barn sale and Serendipity, my favorite shop in Temecula which is where we landed after the Barn Sale.

A really wonderful day with old friends, new friends, and beautiful things to drool over and buy. What could be better, Thanks Lora!

Angel Babies

Good Morning,

I have been blessed with two little angels this week while their Mommy in away on vacation. Above are some pictures of these precious babies.......Betsy is the first one she is the protector of little Winnie. They started off pretty shy but now they run to me and climb right up on my lap, then they try to keep going and I think they are really trying to get on top of my head!

Here is a picture of my little boy Georgie...............

All he wants to do is play with these two ladies. Alas they are a little more reserved.................but as yesterday wore on they let loose and had a wonderful time in the grass under a cloudy cool sky. Betsy lost her barrette in all the mayhem. .......fun but today everyone is tired.
Here it is not even 9:00 AM and they are all sleeping......I mean snoring!

I guess this is my cue to go get some flowers done and post them in my etsy shop later today. Always take advantage of sleeping babies I say!

Hi, I have followed blogs for a few years now and have many favorites. I wanted to jump in and join the fun but did not know how to make it happen. With the encouragement and knowledge of two friends that have great blogs of their own I am now joining the ranks of so many who have shared so much with me throughout the years.
